Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a team and driving merchandising and freight processing.

The role involves opening/closing duties, asset protection, and maintaining store standards while delivering a positive customer experience. Responsibilities include processing freight, stocking merchandise (including frozen & refrigerated items), and planning monthly Sales Planners, all while adhering to company policies and safety

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a retail setting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight flow and manage merchandise needs.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clips and power panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
