Job summary

Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Hills, MI seeks a Retail and Merchandising Coordinator to supervise the on-campus gift shop and online store. You will lead a growing volunteer team, oversee merchandising, inventory, and customer service during daily operations and special events.

The role requires at least three years of retail experience, retail management, and proficiency with Shopify POS and ecommerce platforms, with on-campus work 3–4 days weekly and some evenings/weekends for events.

• Proficiency with Shopify POS and e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Retail Operations: Manages all aspects of merchandise selection, ordering and inventory management; processes sales transactions and maintains POS system; designs and maintains attractive store displays; ensures coverage for client shopping days, special events and tours.
• E-commerce Management: Manages Shopify-based online store; creates product descriptions and coordinates product photography; maintains online inventory; oversees order fulfillment and shipping processes.
• Volunteer Management: Recruits, selects and onboards volunteers to grow the gift shop team; oversees volunteers and delegates daily operations; trains and develops volunteers to work independently.
