Job summary

Michaels Stores in New York, NY seeks a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, inventory, planograms, and visual standards. You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready environment through strong workload planning and inventory management.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings, with hands-on store responsibilities and leadership of the MOD.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines for in-stock and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution, ensuring timely merchandising sets.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring accuracy and proper stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes on time, maintaining pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and accurate order processing.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
