Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You’ll focus on merchandising and freight processing while upholding company standards and policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store operations, maintaining inventory and cleanliness, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and stockroom.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales‑effective and merchandised.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
