Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to help lead a dynamic team and drive merchandising and freight processing. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring stock, cleanliness, and customer service standards are met.

Key duties include processing freight, maintaining sales floor presentation, and executing monthly sales plans while fostering a safe and engaging store environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentable areas throughout the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
