Job summary

Staples in New Jersey seeks a Merchandising & Inventory Supervisor to drive store merchandising, inventory control, and customer service excellence. You will oversee planograms, stock levels, and back-room operations while coaching a team to meet sales and service goals. This role supports a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates will manage front-end duties, assist customers, and lead when scheduled as Manager on Duty, ensuring neat, organized, and inviting store conditions daily.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule based on store needs.
• Understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Experience coaching or supervising a team.
• Ability to engage customers and understand their needs.
• Ability to multitask with limited supervision.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and efficient inventory controls: Zero Balance, Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse, Cross Channel Returns, Reserve online pick up in store.
• Execute product activities including truck unloading, sorting, stocking, and maintaining stock levels.
• Execute Weekly Planograms and seasonal promo merchandising changeover.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist as Manager on Duty when scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
