Job summary

Staples is seeking Merchandising & Inventory Supervisors to lead Sales Floor Merchandising, Signage Standards, Inventory Management, Back-Room Operations and Customer Service. You will coach a collaborative, team-oriented store culture.

Qualifications

• Understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Experience managing and coaching a team.
• Ability to engage customers and discern needs.
• Ability to multitask with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to 100 pounds.
• Experience handling conflict in a constructive way.
• Preferred: key holder experience in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory controls: zero balance, returns, and reserve online pickup in store.
• Oversee product activities: unloading, sorting, stocking, stock levels.
• Execute weekly planograms and seasonal merchandising changes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and engage customers effectively.
• Use basic selling skills to present solutions to customers.
• Maintain inviting store environment with neat and clean appearance.
• Handle front-end duties: cashier, returns, and online reservations.
• Provide store leadership when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
