Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. seeks a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising and store operations at the BOS-NEWTON, MA location. You will drive truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets and visual standards to ensure pricing accuracy and promotional execution.

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, sustaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee truck execution, unloading, sorting and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership to align staffing.
• Run Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution to complete merchandising sets on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and sales floor upkeep.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and efficient stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant and customer-focused signage and placements.
• Complete price changes accurately, maintaining pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and ensure order accuracy.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Manage damages procedures to reduce shrink and ensure proper reporting.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to uphold Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
