Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Merchandise Manager for the Store - DC-FAIRFAX, VA to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards, ensuring pricing accuracy and timely promotions.

You will lead a team to maintain a customer-ready environment, manage stock movement, and uphold signage and data accuracy, with focus on in-stock levels, replenishment, and adherence to company SOPs and policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience in store operations and SOPs.
• Strong visual merchandising knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure legal compliance.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading, accurate sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, aligning staffing to business needs.
• Execute SISO routines to drive in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment, including backroom organization and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and proper stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time, maintaining pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with documentation accuracy and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures, shrink reduction, and reporting.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
