Job summary

Winston Retail in York, NE is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing. You will work hands-on in stores to replenish inventory and uphold presentation standards that reflect the brand’s identity.

This Independent Contractor role offers flexible project-based hours and pay of $15-$17 per hour, based on market and experience. You will use the Winston App on a smartphone to submit visit reports and must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with store standards.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales.
• Communicate merchandising needs with store management.
• Work independently and in teams across different store settings.
• Manage monthly scheduling to complete visits and deliverables on time.
• Submit store visit reports with before/after photos and feedback via the Winston App.
• Reportable via smartphones; IOS devices and up-to-date Android devices required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the shift.

Job Overview
Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven merchandiser. You'll play a key role in ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. You will be working hands-on in stores to replenish inventory, maintain product presentation standards, and help create a seamless and engaging shopping experience that reflects the brand’s identity.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company and store standards
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
• Smartphones are required for reporting:
• IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
• Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift
  

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in retail merchandising or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel and hardline merchandise
