Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in the United States is hiring for a store associate role focused on delivering a highly satisfied customer experience.

You will engage with customers, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and adhere to all operational standards to support business needs across TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and more. Responsibilities include handling purchases, promoting loyalty programs, keeping merchandise ready for display, and participating in safety and loss prevention

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond to changes and lift heavy objects with/without accommodation.
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains merchandising standards and procedures for the sales floor.
• Prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Participates in store recovery and maintains store cleanliness and organization.
• Provides and accepts feedback; adheres to labor laws and loss prevention policies.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
