Job summary

Goodwill North Central Texas is seeking a Material Handler to support store operations. The role involves sorting and preparing merchandise for sale, moving items with proper handling, and keeping the floor well-merchandised and clean. Hours are full-time with varying shifts and days off each week.

The position requires some lifting and standing for long periods, plus the ability to pass background checks and a physical, with a focus on reliable, team-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail material handling preferred.
• The ability to recognize quality products in softlines and merchandise softline product in preparation for the sales floor.
• Being a team player is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare merchandise for sale.
• Remove clothing based on color.
• Restock depleted merchandise (softlines only).
• Use material handling supplies to transport, move, and sort donations.
• Answer telephones.
• Responsible for the overall appearance and merchandising of the sales floor and work area.
• Performs all necessary cleaning functions in all areas of the store.
