Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Lafayette, LA is looking for a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, restocking, scheduling, and delivering excellent customer service. This role helps develop leadership skills while aligning with company goals.

It serves as acting Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager, supervises staff, and ensures inventory control and promotional execution. Prior retail and customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Coordinate with Store Manager to plan selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Serve as acting Store Manager in their absence.
• Guide employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Promote services and merchandise and uphold policies and procedures.
