Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Rock Hill, SC is looking for a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager with daily operations and store administration. You will become knowledgeable in each product area, promote sales, and represent the Hibbett I City Gear customer experience to help attract and keep loyal customers.

The role reports to the Store Manager and trains to assume store responsibilities during absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager in establishing action plan to accomplish departmental and store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold policies, procedures, and standards from manuals and memos.
• Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures and reporting fraud risk.
