Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will learn all product areas and supervise in the Store Manager's absence while driving sales and promotions.

You will promote outstanding customer service, uphold store policies, and help train staff to meet store goals and maintain profitability in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Assist in setting action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting supervisor in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Lead staff to meet department standards and communicate inventory movement.
