Job summary

The role requires knowledge of multiple product areas within the store and a passion for promoting merchandise and promotions. The Manager in Training will assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager’s absence and help drive store goals, inventory awareness, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred, footwear/apparel familiarity
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets
• Coordinate actions with the Store Manager for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling
• Step in for the Store Manager in their absence
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability
• Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities are completed
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends
• Ensure high-quality customer service per policy manuals
• Provide exceptional customer service during peak periods and promotions
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as directed
• Assist in safeguarding assets and financial information
