Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
• In absence of the department manager, manage department operations per standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance and comply with appearance policy.
• Recognize associates who deliver great service and coach as needed.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Maintain solid communication in the department and with store manager, and throughout the organization.
• Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts consistent with company standards.
• Maintain department pricing and coding policy compliance.
• Work within management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards; report equipment repairs; keep area free of debris and hazards.
• Develop product knowledge across department and ensure training of associates.
• Ensure understanding of Standard Practice manual and sanitation/food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation; treat associates with fairness and respect; provide feedback.
• Perform special projects and duties as assigned.
