Job summary

Academy Sports and Outdoors is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the day-to-day in-store logistics, receiving and inventory flow, ensuring accuracy and safety. You will drive operational rhythm, analyze performance, and implement improvements to boost productivity and store results.

You will manage workforce planning, scheduling, and payroll, coach leaders, and partner with the Store Director to align priorities with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience
• Demonstrated success leading departments of up to 40 team members while driving operational excellence and hitting sales targets
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to develop people
• Ability to interpret operational and financial data to drive decisions
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics, merchandising, and receiving operations with focus on inventory flow, accuracy, safety and execution
• Balance workforce planning, scheduling, training, and payroll while maintaining standards
• Collaborate with Store Director and peers to translate business goals into store actions
• Analyze operational performance and implement improvements to elevate productivity and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state requirements in a fast-paced retail environment
