Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors seeks a Logistics Manager to oversee store operations, logistics, merchandising and receiving. You will lead a team through store leads to drive performance and profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires building staffing, training, scheduling, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements; collaboration with store leadership to meet weekly and monthly goals and maintain high standards of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience leading departments of up to 40 people to drive operational excellence and sales targets.
• Must meet federal and state requirements for selling firearms.

Responsibilities

• Overall management responsibility for the execution and operational excellence of the entire store.
• Management responsibility for store Logistics and supervision of team members and leads.
• Provide direction to Logistics and Merchandising teams to implement weekly plans.
• Develops staffing, training, payroll hours, and scheduling to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and firearms regulations.
• Participate in floor walks and drive improvements based on feedback.
