Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Retail Lending Closer to join our client’s team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This hybrid, contract position offers exposure to consumer lending and mortgage workflows, with an emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will review loan documentation, prepare closing materials, and coordinate with lenders and borrowers to ensure smooth funding. Strong math skills and experience with loan software are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in consumer lending or mortgage.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with strong communication.
• Experience with loan software is preferred.
• Solid mathematical and calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of consumer and mortgage product lines and origination systems.
• Review loan documents and systems for TRID compliance and due diligence.
• Send closing instructions and review HUD-1 statements for guidelines.
• Collaborate with lending staff to address documentation deficiencies before closing.
• Prepare disclosures and closing documents following company policies.
• Maintain timely communication with all parties in the loan process.
• Verify underwriting and funding conditions are approved and signed off.
• Obtain documentation for closing and disbursing funds.

Job description

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Retail Lending Closer to join our client’s team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a Hybrid,Contract position.

SALARY: $20-25/hour (depending on experience).

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in consumer lending, mortgage, or consumer banking (preferred)
• Detail-oriented and well-organized with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong computer skills; experience with loan industry software preferred
• Solid mathematical and calculation skills for accuracy

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acquire knowledge of assigned consumer and mortgage product lines, origination systems, and relevant laws and policies
• Review loan approval documentation and systems to ensure TRID compliance and complete due diligence before preparing closing documents
• Send closing instructions and review HUD-1 Settlement statements to confirm adherence to regulatory and investor guidelines
• Collaborate with lending staff to address documentation deficiencies prior to closing
• Prepare disclosures and closing documents following company policies and guidelines
• Maintain timely communication with all parties involved in the loan process
• Verify underwriting and funding conditions are approved and signed off
• Obtain necessary documentation for closing and disbursing funds
