Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and administration.

You will be knowledgeable across product areas and help promote sales and promotions while delivering outstanding customer service. In this role you will assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence, manage staff, monitor inventory and trends, and contribute to achieving store goals and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Collaborate on selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is maintained.
• Perform administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Promote services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and internal controls; flag fraud risks.
