Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Gretna, LA to help drive daily store operations, teamwork, and sales performance. You will partner with the Store Manager to hire, onboard, and develop store associates while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational standards.

The role requires leadership, adaptability, and strong communication in a fast-paced retail environment, with the ability to work nights and weekends and manage inventory and cash-handling tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar retail leadership role preferred.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Basic math skills for percentages and sales calculations.
• Customer-focused execution and operational accountability.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Guide and coach associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of store staff.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing feedback and performance support to team members.
