Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Gonzales, LA to support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to hire, onboard, and develop store associates.

You will monitor service standards, manage inventory and shrink, ensure policy compliance, and uphold merchandising and visual standards while delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role preferred.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are consistently met.
• Monitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
