Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Metairie, LA. You will support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales performance while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

You will partner with the Store Manager to recruit, onboard, and develop store associates, coach performance, and ensure policy compliance. This role requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and a focus on shrink prevention and visual standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Assist with inventory control, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Supervise and coach store associates, manage onboarding and training with the Store Manager.
• Help with hiring, recruiting, and staffing levels to maintain coverage.
• Provide ongoing feedback and performance support to team members.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
