Job summary

The Salvation Army Bakersfield Ming Store is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and donor relations. This part-time role supports ARC program participation and maintains strong customer service standards.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, have retail and supervisory experience, and can pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes active role with Store Manager in daily store operations (opening/closing procedures, POS, inventory, donations).
• Assists in day-to-day operations and cash handling in absence of managers.
• Monitors KPIs to drive sales and maintain profitability as per budget/goals.
• Schedules staff, conducts trainings, and ensures attendance compliance.
