Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of Store Manager, support plan-o-gram setup, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will help maintain store appearance, process transactions, and assist customers with merchandise.

This role involves unloading trucks, stocking, cycle counts, and ensuring a safe, clean store environment while upholding company procedures and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform arithmetic operations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, safety and facility policies.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
