Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Tennessee. You will supervise and assist in daily store operations, greet customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, keep the store clean, and support the Store Manager in opening and closing tasks.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math and cash handling, planogram knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds; prior supervisory exposure is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Willingness to lift up to 40 pounds and perform store duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate on shelves; build displays per planograms.
• Clean the store; take out trash; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store/Assistant Store Manager.
