Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Tennessee is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, clean the store, and support the Store Manager in maximizing profitability while protecting assets.

As a lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, you will guide staff and uphold service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate displays; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager/Assistant Manager in their absence.
