Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with a lead capacity to support store operations in Bearden, AR. You will assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintain inventory while delivering excellent customer service.

In the absence of Store leadership, you will help manage cash handling, banking, and store procedures. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the register, and ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic math operations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.
• Understanding of safety and loss prevention policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stock merchandise; set up displays.
• Maintain clean, organized store and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, handle payment and bag items.
• Assist in refunds, overrides, and end-of-day cash handling.
• Restock merchandise and manage plan-o-grams with Store Manager guidance.
• Assist in opening/closing the store per Area Manager instructions.
