Job summary

Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT seeks a Seasonal Rentals & Retail Associate to deliver outstanding guest service in the shop, process transactions, and maintain shop organization. You will help guests with product information and support inventory tasks to ensure a smooth operation.

Applicants should have customer service experience, be comfortable with POS systems, and enjoy skiing. Seasonal position with benefits and opportunities to engage with guests in a dynamic ski environment.

SUMMARY:

Ensure outstanding customer service in the retail shop by ensuring Associates follow procedures and assist guests, offering product information, processing transactions, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting inventory tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Maintain a high level of customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Provide knowledgeable support regarding Bridger Bowl products, services, and experiences.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns or elevate to the Managers as needed.
• Continuously learn and improve proficiency with the point-of-sale system and product knowledge; encourage and support the same for Retail Associates.
• Support retail shop inventory and notify management of inventory needs.
• Support the receiving, processing, and inventory of retail products.
• Restock, label, and organize merchandise, as required.
• Assist with the inventory counts.
• Perform daily opening and closing duties.
• Close registers and submit end-of-day reports.
• Accurately process cash and credit card transactions and maintain accountability for assigned registers.
• Collaborate with the Retail Assistant Manager to support promotions and sales campaigns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Rental & Retail Managers.

SUPERVISION:

Supervision Given: This position is responsible for the shared supervision of the Retail Associates.

Supervision Received: From the Retail Assistant Manager. Receives assignments as directed, with clear expectations, available guidance, and periodic performance reviews as needed or during check-ins.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, AND ADDITIONAL INFO:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in customer service and/or retail sales.
• Possess excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems and basic computer application usage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Outdoor: Regularly working in quickly changing winter weather conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.

Indoor: sit at a desk executing repetitive movements under consistent lighting and temperature controls.

Work physically near others throughout the shift.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

May require bending, stooping, standing, walking, and moving items that weigh up to 25 lbs.

Requires the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, communicate effectively with coworkers and visitors, handle stressful situations and upset customers, and completing tasks independently and efficiently.
