Bozeman Community Food Co-op in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Retail Kitchen Manager to lead and grow a team, deliver a welcoming customer experience, and oversee daily kitchen operations while supporting local producers and the Co-op's mission.

You will manage hot/cold bars, menus, and production planning, ensure safety and quality, train staff, and collaborate with other departments. This role requires flexibility, bilingual Spanish preferred, and a commitment to community values.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Retail Kitchen operations and teams.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and protocols.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Strong organizational and inventory management.
• Experience with menu planning and recipe development.

Responsabilités

• Lead Retail Kitchen operations including hot bar, cold bar, and merchandising.
• Coach and support staff to maintain high standards for customer service, product quality, productivity, and safety.
• Coordinate shift coverage and manage shift schedules.
• Maintain shift workflows and checklists.
• Ensure team members are trained across Retail Kitchen areas.
• Oversee production planning, inventory, food preparation, and presentation.
• Maintain accurate recipes and production records.
• Ensure kitchen, storage, and retail areas are stocked, clean, and compliant with food safety standards.
• Communicate with Food Service leadership to align plans and teamwork.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production Kitchen, Bakery, and other departments.
• Collaborate on new recipes and process improvements.
• Monitor sales, waste, customer feedback, and margins to adjust production levels.
• Foster an engaging and inclusive culture.
