Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in New York, NY seeks an Architectural Intermediate Technical Designer / Project Professional to lead retail interiors drawing production and coordinate with consultants and project managers.

Responsibilities include travel for site surveys, producing SD–CD sets, coordinating with external teams for landlord approvals, attending OAC calls, reviewing RFIs, and supporting construction‑phase activities; 4 days in office, 1 remote day.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of professional experience, preferably focused on retail experience.
• Independent, creative thinker with ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excels in fast-paced, detail-rich project environments.
• Collaborator who values client relationships and advisory approach.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Bluebeam and Adobe Design products.
• Working knowledge of Building Codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel and perform architectural site surveys.
• Produce detailed drawing sets across SD, DD, CD with retail focus and coordination.
• Coordinate with external consultants for complete construction documents for landlord approvals and authority reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager with coordinating construction documents for approval.
• Attend weekly OAC calls during construction, review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Travel for construction site visits, including punch-list at completion.
