Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an Intermediate Architectural Design Professional to lead concept-driven retail interiors and branded environments in a hybrid New York setting.

You will develop test-fits, coordinate with clients and teams, and specify fixtures and millwork to realize ambitious branded concepts. Ideal candidates have robust experience in store planning, BOH layouts, and high-fidelity renderings using SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and Enscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in Retail Interiors/branded environments.
• Strong concept design and store-planning experience.
• Proficient in SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe CS.
• Ability to create photo-realistic renderings utilizing Enscape

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients throughout the design phase.
• Assist design director in overseeing the design team.
• Develop preliminary retail programs and test-fits.
• Prepare design scope and budget documentation for fixtures.
• Coordinate requirements with clients and project teams.
• Prepare design presentations and select finishes.
• Design and coordinate fixtures, millwork, and displays.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for design intent.
• Visit sites during construction to ensure quality.
