Job summary

SPS Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Retail Insights Manager (Sales Engineer) to serve as the customer-facing SME on retail deductions, chargebacks, and compliance.

You will partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to co-pilot deals from discovery to close, translating retailer knowledge into compelling ROI stories for suppliers. This hybrid role (remote or office-based) involves demos, data presentations, and strategic deal-building across major retailers, with a focus on revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience in B2B SaaS/retail/supply chain.
• Deep expertise across at least two of Walmart, Target, and Amazon with breadth across multiple retailers.
• Revenue recovery expertise including deductions, compliance programs, and root-cause analysis.
• External, sales-facing role requiring presenting to executives and CFOs with ROI focus.
• Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (advanced pivot tables, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Co-pilot sales cycles with AEs and AMs across discovery, demos, data presentation, and negotiation.
• Demonstrate the SPS Revenue Recovery platform to a range of prospects and answer questions with credibility.
• Interpret audit/deduction analysis and build ROI/value stories for stakeholders up to CFO level.
• Develop deal strategy and prep materials to push deals forward.
• Serve as SME on deduction codes, compliance programs, and retailer requirements across major retailers.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to translate supplier voice and influence product priorities.
