Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Technical Engineer II - Retail Infrastructure in Framingham, MA to support and optimize endpoint technologies across Staples store locations.

You will manage OS images, device configurations, deployment of applications, and security settings while addressing issues across hardware, software, and networks. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint technologies, desktop systems, infrastructure, or IT operations
• Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, endpoint devices, software applications, and hardware components
• Working knowledge of endpoint management platforms such as SCCM, Intune, BigFix, or similar
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, OS administration, and application deployment concepts
• Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and IP addressing
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze problems effectively, and communicate technical information clearly

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, administration, maintenance, and optimization of retail endpoint technologies and infrastructure solutions.
• Configure, test, deploy, and troubleshoot applications using enterprise endpoint management platforms.
• Maintain Windows OS images, device configurations, group policies, and security settings.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, application, and network connectivity issues.
• Participate in evaluating, testing, and implementing new technologies and solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support automation and scripting initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, store operations, vendors, and business partners on key projects.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and security.
