Job summary

Staples is seeking a Technical Engineer II - Retail Infrastructure to support and optimize endpoint technologies across its store network. You will deploy, troubleshoot, and enhance infrastructure components, OS images, and deployment tools to ensure reliable operations and secure environments in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will work with cross-functional teams including IT operations, cybersecurity, and store operations, applying automation and scripting to improve efficiency and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supporting enterprise endpoint tech, desktops, or IT operations.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS, endpoints, software, and hardware.
• Knowledge of AD, Group Policy, OS administration, and application deployment concepts.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation scripting.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, IP addressing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, maintain, and optimize retail endpoint tech and infrastructure.
• Configure, package, test, deploy, and troubleshoot apps via endpoint management platforms.
• Maintain Windows images, device configs, GPOs, and security settings.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, app, and network issues.
• Evaluate and implement new tech, hardware, and software solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical docs and SOPs.
• Support automation initiatives to improve efficiency and admin processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, store ops, vendors, and partners.
• Monitor system performance and propose reliability and security improvements.
