Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Technical Analyst I to support retail technology initiatives across our organization. You will coordinate deployments, analyze requirements, and collaborate with stores, vendors, and IT teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing operations.

The role emphasizes organized, detail-oriented problem solving, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment, with opportunities to contribute to lifecycle and security activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years in IT support, tech operations, project coordination, or retail tech.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience maintaining documentation, records, or asset inventories.
• Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and propose solutions.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Occasional after-hours deployment support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate retail technology initiatives including store openings, relocations, remodels, closures, refreshes, and special projects.
• Support deployment planning and implementation activities for retail technology solutions.
• Analyze project requirements, schedules, dependencies, and constraints for successful execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to coordinate deployments and support.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Support technology lifecycle management, compliance initiatives, and security remediation.
• Maintain deployment docs, asset records, and implementation plans.
• Monitor project activities, assess risks, and elevate issues for business continuity.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and deployment effectiveness.
