Hy-Vee Inc. seeks an Assistant Human Resource Manager to support payroll, recruiting and employee relations in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist the HR Manager to keep people operations running smoothly, help ensure staffing levels, and support store leadership with HR processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2–3 years of HR and accounting coursework.
• Experience with HR processes and payroll support preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; discretion with confidential info.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist store staff; support HR manager in daily operations.
• Input and maintain employee data in Workday time and attendance system.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
• Help coordinate scheduling, benefits, and wage discussions.
• Support payroll adjustments and communications to staff.
