PrideStaff is searching for a Retail Hardware Merchandise Manager for our building materials client located in Wheat Ridge, CO. This is a direct hire opportunity with a well-established company.
Retail Hardware Merchandise Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support in store as well as via email, scanning or telephone
- Assist customers with issues such as product selection, pricing, and availability
- Generate quotes, estimates, and tenders sales and returns
- Orders, stocks and merchandises hardware inventory
- Manage product assortment by monitoring inventory levels and SKU optimization, minimizing stockouts
- Identify and evaluate new items based on market trends and customer needs
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
- Ensure product selection is complimentary to other departments of a pro-oriented contractor lumberyard
- Develop and implement pricing strategies
- Create a visually appealing and shoppable floor layout utilizing plan-o-grams to optimize product placement and maximize sales and profit dollars
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Cross sell other product offerings to customers to make it a one stop shopping experience
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the company
Retail Hardware Merchandise Manager Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail operations including; inventory management, purchasing, and pricing
- Keen analytical and decision-making skills
- A strong sense of merchandising with an equally tenacious attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers and retail management software
- Experience with a member-owned co-op/distributor a plus
- Knowledge of building materials and building process a plus
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
