Job summary

Banana Republic in New York City is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team to deliver a profitable business plan and exceed customer experience goals.

You will drive profitable sales through all store operations, including Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations, and talent development, coaching your team to embody the brand.

This role demands strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to travel as needed to support store objectives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to travel as required and to work flexible schedules.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and maneuver around store areas.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results, identifies opportunities and drives KPIs with leadership.
• Drive profitable sales through forecasting and scheduling.
• Manage store budget for daily operations to support P&L.
• Builds productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Coaches and provides feedback to improve performance.
• Leads SOP implementation and initiative execution.
• Creates an inclusive environment and maximizes efficiencies.
