Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, bottle refunds, voids, and coupons accurately.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products in required areas of the store.
• Run the cash register and enroll guests in loyalty program; maintain a clean and neat service area.
• Ensure proper use of PLU codes and report pricing or signage errors.
• Maintain understanding of store programs and product locations, and assist with department flight plans.
