Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a front-end/customer service associate to deliver fast, friendly service, greet customers, and uphold front-end standards in a busy grocery environment. You will support the Customer Service Manager and help maintain accurate cash handling and store procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn cashier and service center tasks. Physical stamina for standing and lifting is also expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers by name when possible.
• Maintain neat front-end area and comply with dress code.
• Operate cash register and front-end accounting tasks.
• Report cash variances and ensure MVP savings kiosk is functioning.
• Perform store duties as scheduled or as needed per surge plan.
