Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller with Retail industry experience to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice in Wisconsin. You will act as Controller for designated clients, providing advisory services and mentoring staff while aligning accounting processes with best practices.

This role requires in-office work with local travel to client sites, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and 6 years of Controller experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 6+ years of Controller experience required.
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Restaurant franchises experience highly preferred.
• Travel: in-office with local travel to client sites and possible overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for the designated clients you service.
• Provide advisory guidance on accounting and finance-related engagements.
• Mentor staff and assist in designing back-office solutions.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and recommendations.
• Prepare management reporting packages for boards and management.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, directives, and accounting standards.
