Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Wisconsin is seeking a Controller with Retail industry experience to join our CAAS practice, working primarily in-office with local travel to client sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 6 years relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required.
• Public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Restaurant franchises experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Controller for the designated clients you service.
• Consult and advise on best practices for accounting and finance-related engagements.
• Mentor staff and seniors and design customized back-office solutions for clients.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Prepare management reporting packages to aid boards and management in understanding financial results.
• Attend industry-leading events and trainings to stay current.
• Maintain knowledge of client policies, federal/state directives, and accounting standards.
