Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Retail Food Service Manager for University of Chicago Medicine located in Chicago, IL.

The Retail Manager is responsible for the operations of the assigned retail location. The manager must ensure efficient operations in line with Aramark’s policies, procedures, and client contracts. Responsibilities include coordinating guest services to ensure a positive experience for staff and guests, managing store merchandising, inventory, purchasing, and other operational needs.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is from $52,580 to $70,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the offer amount. This is an estimate of the compensation as of the posting date.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, warehouse, receiving, ticketing, and distribution.
• Collaborate with HR to hire staff, ensure proper staffing, and stay within payroll budget.
• Develop and train customer service and product knowledge programs.
• Manage store opening/closing procedures, cash, credit, and security.
• Resolve customer issues.
• Verify financial transactions and merchandise transfers.
• Conduct physical inventories and address discrepancies.
• Maintain good client and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
