Job summary

Northern Michigan University is seeking a Food Service Worker II-Retail in the Dining Services-Central Office. You will support daily retail operations, assist in food/beverage preparation and resale, and deliver excellent customer service to campus guests and staff.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ServSafe or willingness to obtain within six months, and 18 months of retail/food service experience focused on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent.
• Required Specialized Training/Certifications: ServSafe or ability to obtain within six months.
• Required Minimum Work Experience: 18 months in retail/convenience store and/or retail restaurant with cash registers, food prep, serving and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Under routine supervision, perform duties for daily maintenance, operation and supervision of employees in a retail operation.
• Provide skills in preparation and resale of various food, beverage and retail items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintenance of retail operation standards.
