Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida Inc in Gonzales, LA seeks a Sales Floor Lead to help manage daily store operations, drive sales performance and ensure compliance with company standards. This role supports the Store Manager and may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled hours.

You will operate the cash register, process transactions, returns and credits; ensure proper merchandise rotation; maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free store environment; train new hires and mentor volunteers;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with at least 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Retail training must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and sales to meet budget.
• Operate cash register, process sales, returns, exchanges and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Maintain clean, safe store environment and ensure hazards are minimized.
• Record and balance cash receipts, make deposits, and document store transactions.
• Attend regular shifts as assigned by management and supervise staff as needed.
• Assist in training and mentoring of Sales Floor Associates and volunteers.
• Complete paperwork required for day-to-day operations.
