New Balance Athletics, Inc. is seeking a Retail Financial Analyst to bridge store operations and retail finance by driving inventory control and delivering payroll and SG&A analysis.

The role supports financial decision-making, operational execution, and process improvements across Store Managers, Retail Operations, Sales Planning, Marketing, and Merchandising. Ideal candidates have a finance or accounting background with 2–4+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Oracle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• 2–4+ years of experience in finance or accounting; retail experience a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Oracle Cloud, Microsoft D365, Spotfire, and Power BI preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships across functions.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control coordination, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Investigate aged or unmatched inventory invoices and PO variances.
• Payroll reporting and labor budgeting support.
• Audit SG&A expenses and monitor variances vs forecast.
• Month-end close activities, journal entries, and variance follow-up.
• Prepare leadership reports highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Train store associates on finance processes and system usage.
