Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking an analytical Inventory Control Analyst to provide daily and monthly financial/operational support for accounting operations related to inventory. You will liaise with operational and corporate departments, support month-end closes, and help maintain stock ledger accuracy.

The role emphasizes valuation, margin analysis, and coordination with auditors, with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to impact inventory controls across stores and DCs.

Qualifications

• Education: Four-year accounting/finance degree required; CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus.
• Experience: 2-4 years related work experience; inventory/accounting background; retail experience preferred.
• Strong data analytics and reporting focus.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders.
• Seek out process efficiencies and improvements.
• Create value-added reporting including KPI’s and Monthly Reporting Metrics.
• Demonstrate understanding of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them to daily functions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for SOX compliance and audits.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of inventory transactions across Stores, DCs and fulfillment operations.
