Job summary

MTI is seeking a Flexible Retail Field & Network Technician to install, maintain, upgrade and repair networks and networked devices across multiple environments. The role requires traveling to various markets, lifting up to 60 lbs, and working with access points, routers, switches, and cabling.

Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of networking technologies are essential, along with excellent communication. Training is provided and certifications are a plus but not required.

Field & Network technicians handle Flexible Project based - implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems. MTI / Sempro Tech -Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Smart Phone mobile device.
• Flexible availability.
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.
